"God took her to

his loving home"

By Shakara Welch

God saw her getting tired a cure was not to be

He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered "come with me"

She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend

She faced her pain with courage until the very end

She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not vain

God took her to his loving home and freed her from the pain

With tearful eyes we watched how much you suffered and saw you fade away

Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay

A golden heart stopped beating, your beautiful smile at rest

God broke our hearts to prove he always takes the best

It's lonesome here without you, we miss you so much each day

Our lives just aren't the same ever since you went away

When days are sad and lonely and when everything seems to go wrong

We hear you gently whisper "cheer up and carry on"

Each time we see your picture you seem to smile and say

Don't cry baby I'm in Gods keeping...We'll meet again someday.

   I love you Mommy,

     Shakara
